Our City, Our Stories Community Dialogue May 13

All Durham residents are invited to participate in open community dialogues about their Durham stories
The Pauli Murray Project presents Our City, Our Stories
Community Dialogues Inviting Diverse Durham Stories
April 22 & May 13, 2010 First Dialogue Series – More to Come
Our goal is to empower Durham’s residents to see their ‘whole past,’ as Pauli Murray suggests in her book Proud Shoes, not as something to hide, but as a powerful tool for shaping the future. Let’s share our stories with our neighbors and create a safe place for open dialogue.
These community programs are supported by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the May 13, 2010 community dialogue, it was an amazing event. Your time, your stories, your ideas, your energy are all very much appreciated!
