Pauli Murray Center sign now at historic childhood home

Announcing the future home of the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice at 906 Carroll Street. Thanks to the May 4 Work Day volunteers who made this all happen!

A new sign announces the future home of the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice at 906 Carroll Street in Durham. More than 20 volunteers helped install the sign and add beautiful flowers and shrubs to the planter in front of the house. Thank you to Top Ladies of Distinction, Top Teens of America, Indigo Afterschoolers, Keep Durham Beautiful, Duke Student volunteers, Pauli Murray Project staff and Supporters, Freeman Ledbetter Construction and Patricia Harris Architecture.

  1. So enlightening to see a legend’s legacy being remembered by people who care about the way in which we as human beings live. The difference women like Pauli have made to the lives of so many others is a true reflection of what inner strength we draw from great women we did not know but recognise how hard they fought to get change for those of us who can benefit from the stand they took to make things different for us in today’s society.

    Thank you to all the volunteers who have continued to work as one.
